Day 51
We had a lazy morning at home. After lunch we headed out to get cell phones, now that Ron has a debit card, which is a UK requirement to have a standard cell phone plan. For 10GB of data, a new Galaxy S7, unlimited calls and texts it is only going to cost £45.99/month. Then an additional £10/month to add my phone and share the data. I can't believe how much cheaper it is than in the states. Since we don't have any UK credit, Ron was only approved for 1 line and had to pay a deposit. Once he has made on-time payments for the next 3 months we can add my line. So, 1/2 way to getting our cells phones fully set up.
Then we headed home and got our desk delivered from IKEA. That is one bummer about the cars being so small, you have to pay for delivery for any big items....even if they come flat packed in 3 boxes and you assemble it yourself.
We ended the night watching the 2nd round of the British Fireworks Championship.
Day 52
Not much happened today. We went to the base and kicked around a football (aka soccer ball), got our mail, and started the process for our no-fee passports. The kids and I can't get our vignettes (similar to a VISA) with our regular passport, so we have to get a special no-fee passport that says we are on official government travel orders. One more hoop.
Day 53
Ron's ankle is getting better. So we walked a trail by our house to the grocery store, it is less than 1/2 mile. On the way back the kid's played at the park and then home for the evening.
Day 54
Took the kids to see BFG. It was super cute. The kid's favorite part was after everyone drank the fizzy liquid and had to 'Whiz Pop'.
We checked out another grocery store I came across earlier in the week when I got temporarily lost (missed one turn).
Then stopped by the library, got a card, and checked out books. I love that my kids get excited about the library.
Day 55
A lazy day at home in our PJs.
